No doubt that today was better. God really performs miracles! =D I woke up dreading thimun first thing in the morning again. Then did my QT. It talked about the storms in our lives.. That God can control them and during the storm of our lives, we should trust in Him and let Him take control. (: And that when we have grievances, we dont ask "Why?" but "Who? Who are You God?" And the answer is "The Father of mercies and the God of all comfort." (2Cor1:3) So well, lobbying was first and we talked about our topic's resolution and then started talking about other stuffs. This guy (Should be from Canada) whom I thought was scary yesterday told us that he had wanted to watch casino royale but ended up watching happy feet I think. Then we were like laughing mad cause' you imagine a guy who looks so scary and all watching happy feet? Haha! Then we talked about scary movies and this girl (Vekki) said that she was watching the trailer of saw III and screamed in the aeroplane. Haha. And the guy actually asked me stuff. At first I thought he felt that I was so stupid (herherx) that he wont even want to talk to me at all. Seriously surprised. So ok, first impressions are wrong. I shall learn not to get manipulated by it. Then had the debate session. Was quite fun but very boring. Ok contradicting. Haha. What did I learn? Alot!
(1) You dont say "I", "you", "we" but "the delegate" and "he"/"she" all the time.
(2) Pass messaging slips with codes for things not related to topic. (According to Janice)
(3) When someone request for motion to continue, you say "second" to agree.
(4) Laughing is not an order.
(5) Clapping can be an order.
(6) Someone can just yield the floor to you to sabo or smth. Scary!
(7) You cant ask the delegate to repeat his question by saying between both of you. You gotta tell the Chair, "Can the delegate of (country) please repeat the qn?"
And no one told us all these! Took ourselves to experience and understand. So basically we were just there and learn on the spot. So I felt that it was great to be able to participate in it. Hope they'd hold it in Netherlands next year and that I can go. (: And I hope to be in same committee as Janice! (: Oh yeah, passing of message slips not related to topic wasnt allowed so the Chair read this questioning note from delegate of Japan to I-forgot-who which was "Marina Hotel, rm (blahblahblah)" sfhqausgfafg! Haha. Hope I can have the courage to say a point of info or smth. (: Jiayou looma!
